Retinol & Kojic Acid - Uses, Side Effects, Benefits (Derma Recommended Skin Care)

hey guys what's up this is Skincare Blog and welcome back to my blog so in today's article I'm gonna be talking about two active ingredients are kojic acid and retinol I already have an article on two other active ingredients that is vitamin c and ahs and has and I'm gonna leave the links to those article in the below so you can check them

Out the reason why I decided to make uh detailed article on uh active ingredients is because there are not a lot of article on google which provide the correct information about these ingredients regarding how to incorporate these active ingredients in your skincare regime the benefits of these ingredients the side effects of these ingredients etc.

So these are all of the topics that I'm going to be addressing today and the active ingredients that I'm going to be talking about today are kojic acid and retinol so, to begin with, kojic acid the primary benefit of kojic acid is to lighten your skin so any kind of pigmentation that you have on your skin due to the sun or any pigmentation due to aging that is eight spots dark spots etc can be lightened with the help of forgic acid kojic acid is a very um powerful ingredient to lighten any kind of discoloration that you have on your skin be it acne marks create dark spots create any kind of wounds or anything that you have on your skin basically a patch on your skin or a spot on your skin that does not match your skin tone kojic acid helps to lighten that.

Now i have this derma  recommended kojic acid cream with meth is dermaco kojic acid cream along with kojic acid this also contains vitamin c and glycolic acid which are two other powerful ingredients which help to remove darkness from your skin and which help to brighten up your skin so with the help of this product you cannot just lighten your pigmentation and remove the discoloration from your face but you can also make your skin glow and get rid of any kind of dullness that you have on your skin the combination of all of these ingredients works really powerfully in making your skin more clear and more radiant.

Now let's talk about the side effects of using a kojic acid product honestly there are no side effects of using a kojic acid cream on your face it is really safe to use it and you can use it every single day on your face only if you have sensitive skin you need to do a patch test on the back of your neck first to see if the ingredient to see if the product really suits your skin or not because if you have sensitive skin and if a product does not suit your skin then it might lead to rashes redness and irritationuh.

So you want to do a patch test at the back of your neck first before trying out any new product especially a product with a strong active ingredient like this but otherwise, it is really safe to use for everyone else and talking about the application part you can use this every single day once during the day preferably duringthe morning time so you can apply this right after you have a bath or right after you wash your face in the morning so that was it about kojic acid now moving on to retinol is one of the most powerful ingredients when it comes to repairing your skin and when applied topically retinol can help to increase your cell turn over and it can help to stimulate collagen production on your skin collagen is something that helps to repair your skin

So if you have pimples if you have acne marks if you have pigmentation dark spots any kind of signs of aging like fine lines wrinkles or basically any skin problem collagen is the ingredient which helps to repair those skin problems and retinol is the ingredient which helps to stimulate collagen production now retinol is the ideal ingredient for oily skinand for acne prone skin retinol helps to regulate your oil production on the skin which thereby helps to reduce breakouts retinol also helps to minimize your pores thereby reducing blackheads and whiteheads

So basically it helps to prevent any kind of blemishes any kind of breakouts on your skin by regulating the oil production and by minimizing your pores and retinol also helps to exfoliate your skin on a cellular level which kind of results in brighter and smoother new skin cells now talking about the side effects of using a retinol product well the most common the side effect that most people experience while using a retinol cream is redness on the skin peeling of the skin tightening drying of the skin etc.

So these are some of the most common side effects that most people experience when they start off with using retinol products but these side effects kind of go away when you use retinol products regularly this usually happens because the skin has a very hard time adjusting to a powerful ingredient like retinol but once your skin is used to retinol product it's only going to show positive science and your skin is only going to become better also let me talk about certain precautions that you need to take while starting off with retinol products the first thing being do not I repeat do not use it every single day start off with just using it once or maximum twice a week for the first few weeks and then after like three or four weeks.

You can start with using it three to four times a week uh this is if you are between the age of 25 to 40 but if you are a 40 plus person then you can pretty much use retinol like five to six times a week also after applying a retinol product on your face you need to wait for about 20to 30 minutes before you top it off with any other product like a moisturizer or a face oil or anything all another important advice if you incorporate retinol products in your skincare regime then it's really important to use a sunscreen every single time that you step out of the house or if you have any kind of direct sun exposure even if you are sitting in your house then please make sure that you apply sunscreen every single day.

Because retinol makes your skin more sensitive to the sun so if you do not apply sunscreen then the sun is going to damage your skin more and faster than usual so now let's talk about the ingredients that you are not supposed to pair up with retinol uh the first one being niacinamide and the second one is vitamin c these ingredients when used together might react with one another and either nullify the effectiveness of the actives or cause any kind of side effects so you need to avoid uh using vitamin c and niacinamide along with retinol so if you're planning on using a retinol cream during the night time then you can use vitamin c or niacinamide during the daytime or you can use them on separate days now the recommended retinol product that.

I have is this dermaco retinol serum along with retinol this also contains aha pha complex and stabilized vitamin c since the vitamin c is in a stabilized form it's not gonna react with the retinol but instead it's gonna work together with retinol in improving your overall skin this is a serum which you can use at night before you go to bed take just three to four drops of the serum and apply it all over your face and then wait for about 20 to13 minutes for the product to seep into your skin and then you can go ahead and apply a moisturizer or a facial oil on top of it also make sure not to use this every single day for faster results because it's just gonna reverse the entire process use it only twice a week when you're starting off and then you can increase it gradually to up to three to four times a week.

So if you are planning on incorporating such active ingredients in your skincare regime then you can consult your derma and get some good products from them or you can try out dermaco which is my favorite online dermatologist the dermarco products are really safe to use for everyone they are formulated tested and recommended by dermatologists dermaco potent ingredients like alpha retinol kojic acid vitamin c niacinamide etc.

In their products in the prescribed dosage and they also disclose the percentage of these actives in their products unlike most of the other brands in the market which just use the names of these active ingredients as a part of marketing gimmick but their products only contain a tiny amount of these active ingredients, but dermaco does not really resort to such marketing gimmicks the Marco actually mentions the number of active ingredients that they use in their products so it's a very trustworthy brand.

It's a very safe brand to use and I use so many products from them and dermaco products have only made my skin so much better so if you are looking forward to purchasing this kojic acid cream or this retinol serum by dermaco or any of the other products then you can use micro concord that is 20 to achieve a 20off on their individual products however the coupon code is not really valid on combo products because their combo products are always on a discount uh but you can purchase individual products with the help of my coupon code and get a 20% off so that was my detailed article on kojic acid and retinol and those were my product recommendations in case if you are willing to incorporate these actives in your skincare regime uh if you want me to make a more detailed article on other active ingredients then please mention them in the comment section below and I'll definitely make the more detailed informative article for you guys um if you found this article helpful please give it a big thumbs up on my blog.
